How much supervision does an RBT need each month?
The BACB requires supervision for at least 5% of the behavior-analytic service hours you provide that calendar month, met separately at each organization where you work. The tracker shows the percentage live as you log.
How many supervision contacts are required each month?
At least 2 real-time contacts, and at least 1 of them must be individual. Your supervisor must also directly observe you providing services to a client in at least 1 contact each month. The monthly cards track each of these separately.
Do RBTs need to keep their own supervision records?
Yes. The BACB expects supervision documentation to be retained for at least 7 years by both you and your supervisor. Your records in ABA Fieldwork Tracker belong to you and stay with you when you change employers.
Does supervision carry over if I work at two organizations?
No. The monthly requirements are met separately at each organization and cannot be pooled or averaged across employers. The app evaluates your months per workplace for exactly this reason.
Do I need supervision in a month with no service hours?
No. If you provide zero behavior-analytic service hours in a calendar month, no supervision is required that month. The app records it as a rest month.
