How fieldwork tracking works

  1. Log a session in under a minute

    Date, start and end, and the hours work themselves out. Split them across independent, supervised, and group, restricted or unrestricted, and mark a contact or an observation.

  2. Always know where you stand

    Every entry updates your month against the requirements for your pathway. Nothing is ever blocked. You just always know.

  3. Sign together, in the app

    Your verification forms, the M-FVF and F-FVF, fill in from your hours. You sign, your supervisor signs on their free account, and the signed form is kept.

  4. Bring the hours you already have

    Already partway through? Add each month you logged before as one summary, and your progress starts where you really are.

What changes for 2027 fieldwork?

How many fieldwork hours do I need?

For the BCBA, 2,000 hours of supervised fieldwork or 1,500 hours of concentrated supervised fieldwork. For the BCaBA, 1,300 hours of supervised fieldwork, or concentrated supervised fieldwork of 1,000 hours under the 2022 standards and 800 hours under the 2027 standards.

Which BACB pathways does ABA FT track?

BCBA and BCaBA fieldwork, supervised and concentrated, under the 2022 and the 2027 standards. You can also track RBT ongoing supervision in the same account.

Is ABA FT ready for the 2027 standards?

Yes. It checks the 2027 requirements, including observation measured in minutes, and the 2022 requirements. Which set applies depends on when the BACB receives your complete application: by December 31, 2026, the 2022 standards; after that, the 2027 standards.

Can I mix supervised and concentrated fieldwork?

Yes. Each month is set as supervised or concentrated. With months of both, your progress counts concentrated hours toward the supervised total by the BACB's multiplier (1.33 for BCBA, 1.3 for BCaBA under the 2022 standards; a 2027 BCaBA account shows each type's share of its own total), and every form records your actual hours.

When must the M-FVF be signed?

By you and your supervisor by the last day of the calendar month after the month of supervision; otherwise that month's hours are not eligible. In ABA FT the form fills in from your hours, ready to sign.

How do the M-FVF and F-FVF work in ABA FT?

They fill in from the hours you logged. You sign, your supervisor reviews and signs on their free account, and the signed forms are kept for both of you.

I already have hours logged. Can I bring them in?

Yes. Import adds each earlier month as one summary for each organization, so your progress starts where you are.
