An RBT's Monthly Supervision Record, built from the month and signed by both

Sound familiar?

Supervision shouldn't be the hard part

  • “Did I get enough supervision this month?”

Most RBTs find out at the end of the month, from a spreadsheet, or not at all. ABA FT shows you as you log.

  • “I work for two employers.”

Supervision is met at each workplace on its own, so one combined sheet can mislead you. ABA FT checks each workplace separately.

  • “What happens to my records if I leave?”

When the record lives in an employer's system, it can stay behind. In ABA FT your records are yours, wherever you work next.

How it works

How RBT supervision tracking works

  1. Log your whole day in one form

Sessions, supervised sessions, and supervision contacts go in one entry, each with its own notes. Mark a contact individual or group, and flag an observation.

  2. See this month's checks at each workplace

Supervision percentage, contacts, an individual contact, and an observation, checked at each workplace as you log. Then your Monthly Supervision Record fills in, and you both sign it.

  3. Bring the months before ABA FT

Add past months as monthly summaries, and your Supervision History starts where you really are.

More for you

From RBT to BCBA, one account

When you start BCBA or BCaBA fieldwork, add it to the account you already have. One switch moves you between RBT supervision and fieldwork, and your supervisors and organizations are shared by both.

  • RBT supervision and fieldwork, side by side
  • Your supervisors and workplaces shared by both
  • Nothing to start over

Every workplace, checked on its own

Work for a clinic and a school district? Each one gets its own monthly checks, because supervision at one doesn't count toward the other.

  • A separate month at each workplace
  • Each with its own supervisor and record
  • Never pooled into one number

Questions

Questions from RBTs

More in the fieldwork FAQ and the user guide.

How much supervision does an RBT need each month?

At least 5% of the hours you spend providing behavior-analytic services that month, with at least two face-to-face, real-time supervision contacts (at least one of them individual) and at least one direct observation of you with a client. It is met separately at each workplace, and ABA FT checks each of these as you log.

Is ABA Fieldwork Tracker free for RBTs?

Yes. It is free for RBTs, with no ads, no credit card, and nothing to upgrade. Your supervisor's account is free too.

I work for two employers. How is that handled?

Each workplace is checked on its own, because RBT supervision does not pool across employers. Each one keeps its own month, supervisor, and record.

Do I need supervision in a month with no service hours?

No. In a month with no service hours, no supervision is owed, and ABA FT shows it as a rest month.

Is the Monthly Supervision Record an official BACB form?

No. The BACB publishes no official monthly RBT form, so the Monthly Supervision Record is ABA FT's own document. You and your supervisor sign it in the app, and you both keep it.

Who keeps my records if I change jobs?

You do. Your entries, months, and signed records stay in your account when you change organizations. The BACB asks both you and your supervisor to keep supervision records for at least seven years.

Can I track BCBA fieldwork in the same account later?

Yes. Add BCBA or BCaBA fieldwork when you start it, and one switch moves you between RBT supervision and fieldwork. Your supervisors and workplaces are shared by both.

Does my supervisor need an account?

To sign in the app, yes: they create a free account and connect with you. They see your month read-only and can never change your entries.
