RBT® supervision tracking is now live in ABA Fieldwork Tracker, and it is free. Registered Behavior Technicians can log their sessions and supervision, connect with their supervisor, and produce the signed monthly records they need to stay compliant and audit-ready. All of it lives in the same app trainees already use for BCBA® and BCaBA® fieldwork.

This is a gap we have wanted to close for a long time, and as of today it is closed. You can use it right now. Here is what it does and why it matters.

What RBT supervision tracking covers

Ongoing supervision is not a one-time hurdle like the initial 40-hour training. It is a monthly requirement that continues for as long as you provide behavior-analytic services. ABA Fieldwork Tracker measures your month against every part of it:

  • The 5 percent minimum. At least 5 percent of your behavior-analytic service hours each calendar month must be supervised. We compute it live, per organization, as you log.
  • Two real-time contacts. At least two supervision contacts a month, in person or over live video, with at least one of them individual.
  • A direct observation. At least one contact where your supervisor observes you working with a client.
  • The documentation. A signed monthly supervision record, kept for the seven years these records call for.

The full breakdown, with how each rule is measured, lives on our RBT supervision requirements page.

Your data, your career

Here is the part almost no RBT® thinks about until it is too late. When your supervision records live in your employer’s system, they belong to your employer. Change jobs, and that history usually stays behind. The proof that you met your requirements for the past year sits in a platform you can no longer log into.

In ABA Fieldwork Tracker, every hour and every supervision record you log is yours. It follows you from one employer to the next, across your whole career. Move clinics, add a school placement, or eventually start fieldwork toward your own certification, and your record comes with you. You are the one whose certification is on the line, so you should be the one who holds the record.

One day, one entry

We built the logging experience around how the day actually goes. You do not log session by session in a dozen separate steps. You add your full day in a single form: your service hours, your supervision, your notes, entered once and stored cleanly. It takes a couple of minutes, not a lunch break. Spend your time on the work and the client, not on the paperwork about the work.

RBTs and future BCBAs, in one account

Many RBT®s are also working toward BCBA® or BCaBA® certification. Until now that meant living in two places at once: one system for RBT supervision, another for fieldwork hours. ABA Fieldwork Tracker tracks both in the same account, each measured against its own requirements. When you are ready to shift toward certification, you are not starting a new tool. You are already home, and the restricted and unrestricted hours that fieldwork lives and dies by are tracked right alongside your supervision.

Supervisors: your whole caseload in one place

If you supervise, you know the monthly reality: different trainees, different requirements, different documents, all due around the same time, all on top of a clinical caseload. Now you can oversee your RBT®s and your fieldwork trainees from a single account. Connect with each person you supervise, see where they stand against their monthly requirements, and sign what needs signing without chasing files across email threads and shared drives. Supervisor accounts are free, with no per-connection fees.

Built for the audit you hope never comes

Audits are rare. When one arrives, the difference between a stressful week and a calm one is whether your records are organized and retrievable. The RBT® module keeps verification and signature workflows inside the app. Everything you and your supervisor sign stays stored and accessible, in line with the seven-year retention that supervision records call for. If the BACB® ever asks, you are not reconstructing a year of history from memory. You are pulling a report.

Free, for RBTs and for supervisors

There is no cost to track your supervision in ABA Fieldwork Tracker, the free web app built for RBT® supervision tracking. No cost for RBTs, no cost for supervisors, and no ads sitting on top of your compliance data. We built it because RBTs deserve better tools than a borrowed spreadsheet, not to turn your certification into a subscription. You can see everything the app does on our features page.
